There have been many occasions my daughter (Angelina) has said things which were inappropriate but hilarious simultaneously. I realize that there are some who swear laughing at these times is not a good practice, as it will further encourage the behavior. I disagree- there is no way not to laugh. Here is one such situation which occurred while working with her counting.
Me (holding up five fingers): "Can you count mommy's fingers?"
Angelina: Starting with my thumb: "one, two..."
Me: "What comes next?"
Angelina: "Another finger"
Me: "How many fingers is mommy holding up?"
Angelina (with a perfectly straight face, all kinds of serious) "Lots of them. Ha- I'm a genius!"
How can you 1) not laugh at that? 2) Dispute her logic?
